Dubai, November 3, 2010

Over 33 international firms have confirmed participation for the 11th edition of Airport Show Dubai, which is more than double the confirmations received over the same period for the previous edition, organisers said.

Organised by Reed Exhibitions Middle East from May 31 to June 2, 2011 at Airport Expo Dubai, the Airport Show will offer a combination of high quality networking and business development opportunities through a series of roundtable discussions, innovation and project seminars in addition to the hosted buyer programme.

“This year, we have already seen a significant increase in the number of exhibitors who are keen to participate in this leading industry event,” said Mohamad Bader-Eddin, show director, Reed Exhibitions.

“With only 32 weeks left for the show, we anticipate more number of investors to register participation and confirm their presence at the much-awaited calendar event.”

“Industry estimates point out that more than $43 billion worth of airport-related projects are currently estimated to be underway across the region. With these projects requiring some of the latest technologies and services, we predict the 2011 Airport Show to be highly rewarding for investors and trade visitors,” he added.

To date 1,161 sq m of exhibition space has already been sold marking a four times increase in comparison with last year’s sales figures during the same period.

Airport Expo Dubai 2011 will also host pavilions from countries such as China, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Switzerland over a gross exhibition space of 11,000 sq m at the West and Central Halls.

Some of the reputed international and local exhibitors that have registered participation to date include Siemens Middle East, Tiger Profiles and Dubai Technology Partners, as well as ADPi, the world’s leading architecture and engineering firm from France, WaterBlasting from the US, and Nivatec from Switzerland.

Bernard Nasr, CEO for Tiger Profiles, said: “The current economic conditions in this region indicate a gradual improvement and the Airport Show Dubai offers an opportunity to interact and network with the power players in the industry.”

“Our participation in the 2011 Airport Show will offer us the added-value of renewing our commitment to the event that will also help us showcase our company’s products and services in a professional environment,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
