Rosewood Jeddah appoints new sales chief

Jeddah, June 27, 2011

US-based Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the operator of luxury hotels and resorts throughout the world, has appointed Mohamed Karara as the director of sales and marketing at the Rosewood Corniche Jeddah.

Karara brings to the role his experience within luxury hotels across the Middle East, including properties in Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, and Amman in Jordan.

He has successfully developed lasting relationships within the travel trade across the Gulf region, managed departments in nearly every facet of the hotel industry, and has been instrumental in increasing sales and brand awareness, a statement said.

“Karara’s vast business development experience underscores our desire to continue to grow the hotels market share from the increasing levels of discerning business and leisure travellers to Saudi Arabia, one of the most dynamic markets in the GCC”, said Hans-Peter Leitzke, managing director of Rosewood Corniche.

The 124-room Rosewood Corniche is positioned on Jeddah’s Corniche, which runs parallel to the Red Sea for over 20 miles and provides convenient access to the city’s business and leisure areas. – TradeArabia News Service
