Landmark opens new hotel in Dubai

Dubai, December 12, 2011

The Landmark Hotels & Suites today opened its new four-star hotel on Rigga Road in the heart of Dubai.

The unveiling of The Landmark Grand Hotel coincides with a recent surge in the UAE’s hospitality space that has seen most hotels in Dubai achieve occupancy levels as high as 85 per cent, said a statement.

Hotels in the Emirates have experienced a steady upswing in both occupancy levels and average room rates in 2011, with industry analysts predicting the trend to continue until the end of the Dubai Shopping Festival in 2012.

Dubai is home to the Middle East’s most dynamic hospitality sector, posting a 13.5 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue per available room (revPAR) rates in October to $194.05, the second highest recorded in the Middle East and Africa for the period, it said.

S M Sadique, managing director of Landmark Zenath Group, said, “The dynamism of Dubai’s hospitality sector and the growing global appeal of the UAE as a leisure and lifestyle hub inspired us to come up with a new development that harmonizes luxury and functionality to offer the perfect home away from home for holiday adventurers and business travelers alike.”

The Landmark Grand Hotel – Rigga is just 10 minutes away from the Dubai International Airport and a short 2-minute walk from the Union Metro Station. It features 174 spacious rooms, which include 153 standard rooms, 7 executive suites, and 14 junior suites supported by various amenities such as 24-hour room service, satellite television and Wi-fi access. Vacationers can visit Dubai’s world-renowned malls and beaches located nearby, unwind at the rooftop swimming pool, or exercise at a spacious gym complete with sauna. Executives can avail of a business center and a rooftop conference room with a bird’s eye view of Dubai. – TradeArabia News Service
