UAE group launches new juice range

Leading UAE-based F&B group, Agthia has announced the launch of Chiquita Tropical’s juice range in the UAE, GCC, Levant and Egypt.
The launch, which comes in line with Agthia’s consumer business division expansion strategy, will further strengthen the group’s local and regional profile, a statement from the company said.
Last year, Agthia signed a license agreement with global marketer and healthy foods distributor Chiquita to manufacture and distribute a range of natural fruit juice products under the Chiquita brand, the statement said.

Fasahat Beg, general manager, consumer business division, Agthia, said: “Over the last couple of years there has been an increasing demand in the UAE for long-shelf-life juices, which represent 55 percent of the total juice category in the UAE. We believe that our value added, high quality range of juices will serve the dynamic consumer needs and help to drive category growth.”
Brian Kocher, president of Chiquita Europe and Middle East, said: “Chiquita Tropicals is a healthy, premium range of fruit juices made with 100 percent natural ingredients and no added sugar or preservatives. The range is available in six flavours in 180 ml and 1l packs.” – TradeArabia News Service
