UAE-based Gallery Foods & Beverages has won first place in the Holsten Distributor Competition across the Mena region for 2011 held between UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt and Libya.
Holsten is a popular non-alcoholic malt beverage available in various flavors.
Gallery Foods is a part of the JK Sons Group of Companies which is a leading trading and distribution company of fast moving consumer goods in the UAE. It is also a member of Dubai SME, a business initiative by the Government of Dubai.
"This competition has been a great success and an added incentive for our dedicated distributors,” said Soren Rasmussen, regional head, Holsten Mena.
"The dynamic UAE market has experienced a sales increase of 24 per cent in 2011. UAE, which is also the base of our operations, continues to be a key market for our products and we are pleased with the growing popularity of Holsten beverages. With the consistent support of Gallery Foods & Beverages, we are confident of expanding our market share in the country in 2012.”
Holsten Mena had set several parameters for this competition, including shipment targets, depletions (in-market sales) vs. targets, timing of payments, and forecasting.
"We have achieved a sales increase of 24 per cent in 2011 compared to 2010, so we are very proud with this positive result," said Ibrahim Khoory, general manager, Gallery Foods.
"It has been extremely competitive over the year 2011 and we are pleased to finally achieve the top position across the Mena region. We share an excellent relationship with Holsten Mena and are honoured by their award recognizing our efforts."
As an added incentive for their excellent performance, Holsten Mena has provided increased marketing and distribution support for Gallery Foods & Beverages, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
