Rainbow, Tetra Pak celebrate Milk Day

Rainbow Milk is celebrating World Milk Day with consumers in the Middle East with a host of activities targeted at better educating the public about the goodness of milk and eating healthy food.

Tetra Pak is supporting this cause as a leader in packaging solution and sole provider of Rainbow UHT packaging, said a statement.

Rainbow is hosting a three-day extravaganza in the Central Galleria at Mirdif City Centre in Dubai between May 31 and June 2. The activities will highlight the goodness of milk and is part of the initiatives of the UAE Ministry of Health to boost milk consumption.

The three-day event will include several edutainment activities where kids will learn about the benefits of milk; performances by jugglers and magicians, competitions, arts and crafts, and music concerts.

Officials from FrieslandCampina will speak about the advantages and health benefits of milk consumption and the company’s efforts to promote milk amongst the public.

Nutritionists around the world consider milk to be ‘nature's wellness drink’ and are united in promoting the daily consumption of milk which can be beneficial for both children and adults. It is  full of calcium, vitamin D, phosphorous and a balance of other nutrients that have been proven to help build bones and teeth. Milk also promotes the healthy function of muscles and blood vessels. Milk is a natural, healthy choice that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
