Salalah Marriott launches Khareef offers
Kuwait City, June 26, 2012
Salalah Marriott Resort in Mirbat, Oman, has announced the launch of its Khareef offer for its guests for the upcoming monsoon season, starting June 21.
Deluxe double rooms are available at a rate of OR50 per person including breakfast and 17 per cent taxes and service charges, a statement from the hotel said.
These special rates are valid for stayd during weekdays and weekends and also include complimentary airport transfers from / to Salalah International Airport as well as a shuttle bus service to the Salalah Khareef Festival upon request.
Ahmed El-Meligui, director of sales and marketing, Salalah Marriott Resort, said: “The Khareef season offers an ultimate summer escape for everyone due to the low temperatures and unique rainy weather in the Middle Eastern Region.”
“The majority of travelers to the region during the Khareef are GCC tourists who are escaping the heat in their own countries. Our main source markets are locals and residents of Oman representing 48 per cent of the total GCC visitors, followed by UAE with 22 per cent, Saudi Arabia with 17 per cent and Kuwait with 7 per cent.”
“With Ramadan falling into Khareef Season this year the peak season for the region will be even more compressed and is shortened to only four than the usual six weeks.”
“The respective authorities in Salalah have been extremely pro-active and supportive regarding the hoteliers concerns about a shorter season. Therefore the Khareef Festival was moved forward from June 21 to July 18 and all other marketing initiatives have been advanced as well, so the effect of a short Khareef season has been minimised.”
The offer will go on till July 31. - TradeArabia News Service
