
Emirates honours top agents

Leading UAE airline, Emirates, recently honoured its top agents in Bahrain and Dammam at a ceremony held at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa.
Travel agency representatives, senior executives from Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) and Civil Aviation Affairs at the Interior Ministry and Bahrain and Saudi Arabian press representatives were present.
"Although Emirates is growing rapidly, we realise that our progress depends on team work, both inside and outside the organisation," said Emirates' Bahrain and Saudi Arabia operations vice-president, Adil Al Ghaith.
"Many travel agents have contributed directly to our growth and I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank them for their assistance and support."
He said the airline has invested in products and services to make sure customers got the very best experience in the market and the very best value for money - both in the air and on the ground.
"We trust that products such as our award-winning entertainment system, meals and our lounges help make their jobs easier."
Gifts of appreciation were given to Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs air traffic management head Saleem Hassan; Damman Civil Aviation Affairs Authority director general Khalid Almz'el; Bahrain Airport Services deputy chief executive Salman Al Mahmeed; Eastern Province Customs director Yousif Al Zakan; BAC airline development and marketing manager Waleed Fakhroo and Bahrain airport police director Lieutenant-Colonel AbdulAziz Al Dosary.
Certificates and gifts of appreciation for the best travel agents' sales performance in Bahrain and Dammam were awarded by Emirates Bahrain manager Reema Al Marzooqi and Damman sales manager Nadeem Naqi.
Outstanding performance awards in Bahrain were presented to Kanoo Travel, House of Travel, ITL Tourism & Travel, Magnum Travel Services, Pegasus Travel, Al Kaatib Travel Agency, Algosaibi Travel, Al Amal Travel Tours & Cargo and Al Fanar Travel.
Outstanding performance awards in Dammam were presented to Ameco International Travel Agencies, Ziyad Travel Agency, ITL Leisure Tourism & Travel, DNATA, Caravan Tours & Travel, Trans Saudi Travel & Tour Agency, Al Tayyar Travel Group, Al Mojil Travel & Tours and Kanoo Travel. – TradeArabia News Service
