Flydubai to operate to Madinah

Kuwait, July 18, 2013

Flydubai will begin operating flights to Madinah on July 25, making it the 65th destination for the Dubai-based low-cost carrier and 15th addition this year.

CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said: “The holy month of Ramadan is a perfect time to commence flights to the holy city of Madinah and we are most grateful to the Saudi authorities for their support and assistance in enabling us to establish a direct air link from Dubai.”

The new route will provide GCC residents and pilgrims from the region with fast and convenient access to Islam’s second holiest city after Makkah, he said.

“At the same time, the new route will benefit Medina residents who may wish to visit friends and family during the last two weeks of Ramadan or spend Eid Al-Fitr in the UAE,” Al Ghaith added. - TradeArabia News Service
