Elaf to accommodate Libyan pilgrims

Jeddah, August 22, 2013

Saudi-based Elaf Group of Companies for Travel, Tourism and Hotels has signed a deal with the Libyan Hajj office, Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to accommodate Libyan pilgrims.

The pilgrims will be put up in Makkah Al Mukarama and Al Madinah Al Munawara, as part of the group’s strategy to address the growing demand for tourist and hotel services in the kingdom, said a statement.

Ziyad Bin Mahfouz, president and member of the Makkah Tourism Development Council, said that Elaf Hotels will be offering hotel rooms for Libyan pilgrims in the two holy cities, in addition to making ticket reservations.

Dr Khaled Al Wershefani, president of the Libyan Hajj office, said: “Through this agreement, we look forward to attracting more Libyan pilgrims who can benefit from the services offered by the group.” - TradeArabia News Service
