UAE's national airline Etihad Airways has launched a cabin crew recruitment programme in the US.

The recruitment drive will be held in Chicago, New York and Washington DC, where applicants will be required to meet recruitment specialists who will provide information about living in Abu Dhabi and the dynamics of working with guests at 30,000 feet.

The airline is looking for talented hospitality professionals based in the US who are keen on a career in the airlines' teams including cabin crew, food and beverage managers and qualified in-flight chefs, it said in a statement.

The new cabin crew members will later undergo a seven-week training programme, conducted at Etihad’s Safety and Service Training Academy in Abu Dhabi.

Aubrey Tiedt, VP Guest Services, said: “To support the rapid, dynamic expansion of Etihad, we are delighted to host our recruitment drive in the US. We hope to attract individuals with a great passion for guest service and hospitality to join our multinational and multicultural cabin crew team.

The airways currently employs more than 200 US nationals, including 66 pilots and 27 cabin crew, she added. - TradeArabia News Service
