Bahrain gears up to welcome New Year

Bahrain is geared up to host partygoers tonight (December 31) with a series of events to celebrate New Year's Eve, a report said.
One of the biggest parties this evening will be held at Ibrida, which will host Snap at Ramee Grand Hotel and Spa, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
Organisers expect the 90's pop duo to perform to a sell-out crowd as the clock strikes midnight.
"With a 1,000 person capacity, more than 500 tickets have been sold and all tables and dining packages are sold out," said executive assistant manager Nicolas Jardier.
Also set to host a massive party is Cafe Mambo at Muju in Dragon Hotel and Resort, Amwaj Islands.
"The artists have arrived from Ibiza, all tables have been sold out and tickets are selling fast," said event organiser Damien D'Costa. "Everyone is very excited for what is going to be a fantastic night, with amazing artists."
Plans are also in place for a Japanese-themed evening at Bushido in Seef, and a 70s- themed party at Trader Vic's at Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa, Seef.
Other New Year's Eve events that are expected be hits amongst crowds are JJ's Irish Restaurant's 'Diva-licious' evening featuring resident band The Noise and DJ Leeward B; British DJ Joshua Roberts taking to the decks at Tabu, Panorama Hotel in Juffair; and a Desi Bhangra Night at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain.
Skybar Rooftop and Lounge at Diva Hotel, in Juffair, will also host another one of their stylish and glamorous parties, with crowd favourite DJ Greg headlining the evening.
Ramee Group has a host of events for New Year's Eve across all their outlets, including a New Year's Carnival at Rocky's Cafe, Ramee International Juffair.
The Hub at Ramee Monroe will also be glammed up for their 'Glam Rock 2014' event, and 'Sin City' is coming to Club Buffalo at the Ramee California Hotel which will play host to a Las Vegas-themed evening.
