Hilton opens 2nd Doubletree hotel in UAE
Dubai, January 2, 2014
Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton has announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton resort in Ras Al Khaimah, marking the brand’s second hotel in the UAE.
DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island joins Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio of four hotels in up and coming Ras Al Khaimah, with the latest offering enjoying a prominent location on the trunk of Marjan Island, one of five artificial islands of premium offshore tourism development close to the upscale area of Al Hamra.
The 485-room DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island will feature a complementary mix of guest rooms and suites, sea-view rooms and villas, all with access to the resort’s private 650-metre beach.
“Ras Al Khaimah is a destination filled with fascinating surprises, and it’s easy to see why the Emirate is attracting more visitors seeking the true essence of the Middle East,” said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.
“DoubleTree by Hilton has enjoyed great success in Ras Al Khaimah since opening our first UAE location there in 2011, and I am delighted that we can now offer an upscale beach resort option to travellers in the UAE.”
Guests at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island will enjoy the convenience of nearby shopping and entertainment plazas, and easy accessibility to a wealth of sporting and leisure options including golf, desert camping and a range of water sports.
In addition to the 650-metre private beach, on site facilities include a fitness centre, five temperature controlled pools, with two designed especially for children, and a wide range of dining options.
The resort will also feature the UAE’s first eforea: spa, Hilton Worldwide’s exclusive spa concept, including seven relaxing treatment rooms along with rejuvenating Jacuzzi, sauna and steam facilities. It will also have three flexible meeting spaces.
Remco Werkhoven, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island said: “Behind everything we do is the DoubleTree by Hilton mantra of ‘Where the little things mean everything’, inspiring our team members to offer hotel guests an all-important individual, personalised service, starting with a warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in, which sets the tone of delivering these little things which make a guest’s stay even more meaningful.”
“It is this genuine understanding, coupled with the brand’s focus on providing upscale amenities such as the Hilton HHonors guest loyalty programme, that will support our goal of becoming a valued member of the Ras Al Khaimah community,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
