Pullman Dubai reopens after $36m revamp

Dubai, February 24, 2014

Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre, a five-star hotel of  international upscale brand Accor group, is set to reopen after a three-year renovation project with an investment of Dh135 million ($36.7 million).

“It has been an interesting journey getting here; our interior design partner in this project, LW Design helped in bringing the contemporary and modern signature feel of Pullman into the hotel. It was an adventure adapting and working with the existing layout and design of the building, and we are proud to say that the results speak for themselves,” said Laurent Chaudet, general manager of Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre Hotel.

One of the highlights of the renovation is the focus on the contemporary aesthetic in design as part of Pullman’s commitment to contemporary art. The interiors emphasise the cosmopolitan, vibrant, and lively feel of the global brand, a statement said.

The hotel houses four restaurants and bars offering international and local cuisines tailored to cosmopolitan travellers and local customers alike: Le Cafe, a 24-hour lobby lounge; Medley, the all-day dining restaurant; La Fabrique, a chic contemporary sports bar for after-work drinks; and the rooftop pool lounge Azure, offering views of the Dubai creek, Yacht Club, and the famous Dubai skyline.

Dining by Pullman offers a unique service, ‘CuisInMotion’ adapting to the needs of the modern traveller. ‘Anywhere, anytime’ is the attitude found in Pullman’s kitchen, whatever the guest needs or requests will be created and served at the time of the order, from cravings, to dietary needs and restrictions the Executive Chef will make it  happen.

The F&B offerings get richer with Medley’s Moroccan Chef, ‘Chef Mama’ El Batoul Jarmourne who is an experience on her own. From the food she creates through her Moroccan infused Middle Eastern flavors, to her interaction with the guests showering them with words of welcome and enjoyment in Arabic, Chef Mama.

“She is a hidden gem at the hotel; eating at Medley and experiencing Chef Mama is not something you forget,” said Chaudet.

As for business travellers, the hotel recently launched its new meeting facilities that include nine meeting rooms covering 1,000 sq m, furnished with the latest in connectivity technology, modern amenities, and innovative breaks. Pullman Dubai Deira City also offers the Soma Fit and Spa Lounge.

“The coffee- breaks bring leisure to business ranging from a 15 minute massage, to playing a friendly game of Wii, to a sushi lesson with our Executive Chef. These breaks are refreshing to our guests mentally and physically, and at Pullman it’s not only business or leisure, it is both,” concluded Chaudet. – TradeArabia News Service
