Ras Al Khaimah, March 6, 2014

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (TDA) is leading a delegation of nine high profile co-exhibitors at the ongoing ITB Berlin 2014, the world’s largest travel show.

The delegation, led by Ras Al Khaimah TDA’s CEO Steven Rice, includes Hilton Worldwide, The Cove Rotana Resort, Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach, Bin Majid Hotels & Resorts, Rixos Bab Al Bahr, Marjan Island Resort & Spa, World of Travel and RAK Airport.

At ITB, Ras Al Khaimah TDA will be showcasing the latest openings in Al Marjan Island, which is the first man-made island project to be developed within Ras Al Khaimah and consists of a cluster of five coral-shaped islands extending over 2.7 million sq m; as well as our future plans and opportunities for investment in the emirate.

Ras Al Khaimah is fast establishing itself as a global tourism brand with huge potential for investment, capitalising on its diverse landscape, rich heritage, temperate climate and top-notch hotels and resorts, which together make Ras Al Khaimah a fabulous, affordable luxury destination for leisure and adventure travel on the local, regional and international levels.

Historically, Germany is one of Ras Al Khaimah’s top three source markets, which together with the UAE and Russia account for over 70 per cent of the visitors to the emirate.

“Our presence at ITB comes as a testament of our commitment to continue strengthening our ties with Germany, as one of our top source markets; and exemplifies our initiatives to further grow the emirate’s brand presence, which with its temperate climate, stunning landscapes and vast outdoor adventure offering, is fast establishing itself internationally as a premier global affordable luxury destination,” said Rice. – TradeArabia News Service
