Etihad to launch recruitment drive in Japan, UK
Abu Dhabi, April 3, 2014
UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways has launched a cabin crew recruitment drive in Japan and the UK.
Japanese and British nationals who are hospitality professionals have the opportunity to attend the recruitment day and join the airline’s team of cabin crew, food and beverage managers and qualified inflight chefs.
The recruitment day will take place in Narita (Japan) on April 15 and in London on April 28, where recruitment specialists will provide comprehensive information about living in Abu Dhabi and the dynamics of working with guests at 30,000 ft.
The new cabin crew members will undergo a seven-week training programme conducted at Etihad Airways’ Training Academy in Abu Dhabi.
Aubrey Tiedt, vice president - Guest Services, said: “To support the rapid and dynamic expansion of Etihad Airways, we are delighted to host our recruitment drive in Japan and the United Kingdom.
“We hope to attract and recruit individuals who are incredibly passionate and dedicated to delivering remarkable hospitality.”
“Our team hails from more than 110 nationalities and enjoys great career development opportunities commencing as a cabin crew, in-flight chef or food and beverage manager and progressing to onboard leadership and management roles.”
Etihad staff's benefits include medical insurance and housing support, in addition to access to a wealth of world-class leisure, sports and entertainment activities.
Etihad commenced services between Abu Dhabi and Japan in February 2010 with an initial four weekly flights to Nagoya, followed in March 2010 by a daily service to Tokyo (Narita). The airline currently operates daily flights between Abu Dhabi and both Japanese cities.
The airlines has three-times-a-day service to London Heathrow and twice daily flights to Manchester from its Abu Dhabi hub. - TradeArabia News Service
