Al Tayyar signs up Sabre as technology partner

Dubai, May 6, 2014

Bahrain-based Sabre Travel Network Middle East has signed a landmark technology partnership agreement with Al Tayyar Group, one of the leading travel companies in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was yet another major announcement that Sabre made on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai.

As per the deal, Al Tayyar Group will now be using Sabre’s global distribution system (GDS) with direct access to its vast portfolio of technology products and solutions like the Sabre Red Workspace, GetThere, as well as mobile tools like TripCase and Sabre Red Mobile Workspace, to meet the challenges and opportunities of the industry and have an edge over competition.

Sabre CEO Daniel Naoumovitch, said: "Sabre’s innovative products focusing on current technology trends like mobile, personalization and big data, will help Al Tayyar tailor products to meet its growing customer demands and achieve its vision for international growth."

Saudi Arabia, he said, was a large and rapidly evolving market. "A strong partnership with the Al Tayyar Group will not only strengthen Sabre’s presence in the kingdom but also give us the opportunity to be instrumental in developing the country’s travel industry," he added.

Travel agencies across the Middle East region use Sabre's wide range of technology solutions to maximize their offering to customers.

The company has 23 offices in 13 countries in the Middle East and the Levant – in addition to 15 training centers across the region.

Speaking on the deal, Al Tayyar Group spokesperson said: "With over 300 local and 20 international offices, our primary requirement is handling large volumes of business without compromising on service standards and efficiency levels."

"Implementing Sabre’s state-of-the-art technology will not only simplify our day-to-day business but also help us increase our market share in other countries in this region," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
