Nile Air signs multi-year deal with Sabre
Dubai, May 7, 2014
Bahrain-based travel technology company Sabre Travel Network Middle East (STNME) signed a multi-year full content agreement with Nile Air, an upcoming airline of the region founded by Saudi Arabia’s leading travel company Al Tayyar Group.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the ongoing Arabian Travel Market, the leading international travel and tourism event in the Middle East, which opened on May 5 and will run until Thursday at the Dubai International Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Nile Air will now be using Sabre’s Global Distribution System (GDS), which provides both airline reservations systems, as well as a full suite of marketing and commercial planning software and enterprise operations solutions.
Nile Air will also be able to leverage Sabre’s large pool of already existing travel related companies worldwide to market itself and enhance brand recognition and top-of-the-mind recall.
Daniel Naoumovitch, CEO, STNME said: “We are very excited about having Nile Air as one of our airline clients. The Sabre Airline Solutions will offer a broad range of software and data solutions to help Nile Air market themselves, sell products, serve customers and operate more efficiently.”
“This deal is also a step towards strengthening the Sabre-Al Tayyar Group relationship. Sabre’s state-of-the-art technology will be instrumental in enhancing business growth for Nile Air across the region as well as making it a popular option for regional and global travellers,” he added.
A Nile Air / Al Tayyar Group spokesperson said: “By partnering with Sabre, the region’s leading GDS provider, and implementing Sabre’s Software as a Service (SaaS) and hosted models, we hope to attain flexibility, scalability as well as lower costs, make smarter operational decisions, personalize and retail Nile Air’s products to travelers and achieve our overall growth plans.”
