Emirates adds ‘Pele-ane’ to its Boeing 777s fleet

Dubai-based Emirates airline, an official Fifa Worldwide partner, has unveiled the first Boeign 777-300ER to feature the signature of Emirates Global Ambassador and three time World Cup winner, Pele, said a report.
 
The first Emirates ‘Pele-ane’ will be connecting football fans with the action this summer on the Dubai to Sao Paolo route, said the Emirates News Agency (WAM) report.
 
The 350-seater aircraft has a creative design, specific to the Fifa World Cup, inscribed on the fuselage along with the recognisable signature of the legendary Barzilian football star.
 
Two further Boeing 777 Pele-anes will be unveiled today (June 12) and an Airbus A380 will be launched soon, it said.
 
Passengers can also watch all 64 matches live on the Sport 24 channel on board the flights, which children on board will be provided with colourful snack boxes with cardboard cut-outs and stylish wrist bands in support of participating teams.
 
The Emirates World Cup initiatives will be on flights for the duration of the tournament, when the airline expects to fly over 18,000 passengers on its daily flights to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo, the report added.
