Salalah Rotana Resort supports Omani workforce

Dubai, August 11, 2014

Salalah Rotana Resort continues to expand its team of professionals with a growing number of Omani nationals.

The resort on the sandy white shores of the renowned Salalah Beach boasts 400 rooms and suites with unrivalled children’s facilities and decadent restaurant outlets, serviced by the dedicated family of professionals, the hotel said.

The “Duroob” programme, which aims to increase the rate of Omanisation at the resort, addresses unemployment among citizens by bridging the gap between local and foreign workers in the labour market, a statement said.

“We have put more initiatives in place to increase the search and recruitment of Omani citizens. The Duroob programme has been developed by Rotana for all its hotels across the Gulf countries. We are proud to offer Omani citizens opportunities to prosper and grow, which confirms Salalah Rotana Resort commitment towards Omanisation," said Claudio Melli, general manager.

Many efforts are being made to encourage further additions of Omani citizens to the team including fruitful collaborations with the Ministry of Manpower, who assists in providing the resort’s HR team with potential candidates for consideration and interview purposes, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
