Royal Jordanian...offering added benefits

RJ introduces ‘Go Crown’ booking feature

AMMAN, November 10, 2014

Royal Jordanian, the flag carrier airline of Jordan, has launched a new feature, “Go Crown”, that allows passengers holding economy class tickets to place a bid to upgrade to Crown Class.

The new feature, developed by Plusgrade, is based on an electronic bidding system used by several international carriers.

After the purchase of an economy class ticket, the passenger receives an invitation via the email address provided upon booking to bid for the chance to upgrade. If the booking is done through other channels, passengers can go to “Manage My Booking” on the RJ website, add their contact details and place their bid.

The bidding passengers submit an offer based on the amount they are willing to spend to upgrade (within a minimum and maximum offer value). If the passenger’s bid is successful, they will receive a notification between 24 and 72 hours prior to departure. If it is not awarded, travellers retain their original reservation.

Crown Class is Royal Jordanian’s signature business class cabin offering passengers a wide range of added benefits and comfort including exclusive check-in areas, use of the Crown Lounge, as well as added on-board comfort through wider seats and added leg room. – TradeArabia News Service
