England cricketers strike gold with Etihad

ABU DHABI, November 17, 2014

Etihad Airways, the flag carrier airline of the UAE, has presented the England Cricket team with their personal Etihad Guest Gold cards, giving the players exclusive benefits and rewards from the airline’s award-winning loyalty programme.

The airline, which is the official airline partner of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), gave Captain Alastair Cook and other England players the coveted Gold cards before the team set off on their tour to Sri Lanka.

The gold card provides holders with 50 per cent extra Etihad Guest Miles on every flight, exclusive Gold tier rewards, Business Class lounge access, priority check-in and boarding, and fast-track immigration and baggage, amongst many other benefits.

“We’re delighted to fly Alastair and his England teammates on their overseas tours, starting with the One Day series in Sri Lanka. As Etihad Guest Gold card holders, the team can look forward to an extra special travel experience with unrivalled benefits on every Etihad Airways flight,” said Clive Wratten, Etihad Airways’ UK general manager.

The partnership with the ECB was launched in July and means that England’s national teams can fly with Etihad Airways. – TradeArabia News Service
