Sheikh Mohammed and Purcell at Tapeteria

The Ajman Palace unveils new staff canteen

AJMAN, December 4, 2014

The Ajman Palace Hotel, a unit of Hospitality Management Holdings (HMH), UAE, has unveiled its refurbished staff canteen, naming it ‘Tapeteria’.

The make-over is part of the hotel’s employee well-being programme and was inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Qassimi, vice-chairman of HMH.

The canteen has been decorated by the employees themselves who transformed the place using vibrant colours, giving it a cool and funky look. A beautiful addition is a wall that has been created to showcase a souvenir from each country

Ferghal Purcell, general manager, The Ajman Palace Hotel, said: “Caring for our people begins at the most fundamental level and a decent canteen is basic. It is like a family dining room that allows them to come together and relax. The physical and mental health and well-being of our associates is extremely important.  Therefore, the fare on offer in the canteen and the atmosphere there has been very carefully looked into for we believe it will transform the way one feels about work and how well one performs.” – TradeArabia News Service
