India's new visa rules to benefit IBTM show

SURREY, January 7, 2015

India's new rules that grant visa on arrival for tourists from 43 countries including the US, Australia, Brazil, Germany and Japan will benefit both international exhibitors and hosted buyers attending ibtm india 2015, organisers said.

The show runs from from September 1 to 3 at Jaipur, Rajasthan state.

Tourists from the 43 countries can apply for visas online, entitling them to a 30-day stay in the country.

The countries also include Cambodia, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Micronesia, Fiji, Finland, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Tongo, Laos, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Mexico, Myanmar, New Zealand, Niue, Norway, Oman, Palestine, Papua and New Guinea, Philippines, Kiribati, South Korea, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Russia, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Tuvalu, UAE, Ukraine, Vietnam and Vanuatu.

Shinu Pillai, exhibition manager, ibtm india and ibtm africa, Reed Travel Exhibitions, said: “This is very good news for our international exhibitors and Hosted Buyers attending ibtm india 2015 which will take place in Jaipur.

“These new visa rules will also help to unleash the huge potential of the country's growing MICE industry.”

The hosted buyers registration for ibtm india 2015 will go live in May, he added. - TradeArabia News Service
