Saudia...expanding international operations

Saudia to launch Tabuk-Cairo flight

TABUK, February 24, 2015

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia), the flag carrier of the kingdom, is expanding its international operations with the launch of a direct flight from the city of Tabuk to Cairo, Egypt on April 15.

The airline will operate thrice-weekly flights to the Egyptian capital, aiming to serve passengers traveling between the two countries, especially during peak seasons.

Abdul Mohsen Junaid, executive vice president, Commerce, said:  “Tabuk would be the sixth station in the kingdom to operate direct flights to Cairo, after Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah and Abha.”

“This flight is an addition to Saudia’s operations to Egypt, including Alexandria and Sharam El-Sheikh,” Junaid said.

Saudia carried a record 1.8 million passengers between the two countries last year on 9,956 scheduled and additional flights, reflecting on the growing Saudi-Egyptian relations. – TradeArabia News Service
