Anjum Hotel Makkah to participate in STTIM

RIYADH, March 26, 2015

Anjum Hotel Makkah, a luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia’s holy city, will be a strategic partner for the eighth edition of the Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM) to be held from March 29 to April 3 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Governor of Riyadh Province, the event continues to serve as a platform that looks towards providing participants with direct and quick-access to decision makers in the Saudi tourism segment. The show also promotes the entry of more tourism based investments into the country, thereby reinforcing its position as a premier travel destination for the region.

During their participation, the Anjum Hotels Saudi hospitality brand will be throwing the spotlight on its current offering of its flagship hotel, Anjum Hotel Makkah, with its 1,743 rooms and suites to potential business partners like travel agencies, tourism organisations and government-based tourism agencies.

Yousef Abdul Latif Jameel, general manager, Abdul Latif Jameel Real Estate Investment Company (ALJREIC), owner of the Anjum Hotels brand, said, “STTIM throws the spotlight on the best opportunities for development and investment in the tourism segment—allowing exhibitors to showcase and share information about their products and services. We are partnering with Saudi Commission for tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) in this event to help increase awareness about our hospitality development projects and Anjum Hotel Makkah.”

“Participating at STTIM will also allow us to update everyone with our new hospitality offerings. We are looking forward to exchanging knowledge and best practices with other participants—discussing the timely challenges of the industry and developing key solutions that can lead to more growth and development for the country’s tourism industry,” he said.

Over the last eight years, the show has acquired great interest and importance in the tourism industry—largely contributing to its development and enhancement. In line with this, the Anjum Hotels’ participation reflects the company’s continued support and commitment to the country’s rapidly developing tourism segment. The brand’s flagship, Anjum Hotel Makkah, is part of the first phase of the ALJREIC Jabal Al Kaaba project that was completed last year.

“The Jabal Al Kaaba project has several important stages of growth that are all based around the very heart of Islam’s holiest sites. Already completed, Phase 1 of this ground-breaking development saw the construction of the Anjum Hotel Makkah, a landmark five-star facility designed and built specifically to accommodate those making their annual pilgrimage to the Grand Mosque. The project will be continuing to complete all phases, which will include the addition of 5,528 guest rooms and nearly 530,000 sq m of total construction with a capacity to accommodate 22,000 guests during Hajj; 14,000 guests during Ramadan and 8,300 during Umrah period,” Jameel said.

He further shared the brand’s next projects, “In addition to the Jabal Al Kaaba project, which will be managed by our brand, Anjum, Yousef Abdul Latif Jameel Group will be developing the Makkah Residence development project, a large mixed-use residential village complex in three phases located 2.7 km from the Grand Mosque in Makkah. We will be constructing a large scale complex of multi-storey and multifamily residential units offering 10,500 rooms.  The project will offer retail, dining outlets, food courts facilities, in addition to social and service communities including clinics, mosques, prayer rooms, wedding halls, gardens, parking lots and many others. We have scheduled to commence with this project in 2016. These projects will both be managed under the Anjum brand.” – TradeArabia News Service
