Gulf Hotels signs key management deal with Asdal

MANAMA, April 1, 2015

Gulf Hotels Group has signed a management agreement with Asdal Hotel for the operation of a four-star deluxe property in Seef District, Bahrain.

The hotel is currently under refurbishment and expected to be opened in September, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Shaikh Abdulaziz Al Jammaz and Shaikh Nasser Al Jammaz signed the agreement on behalf of Asdal Hotel, whereas chief executive and board member Aqeel Raees and deputy chief executive Garfield Jones signed on behalf of Gulf Hotels Group.

Raees said the contract was in line with the group's expansion strategy thus adding to the properties owned and managed locally and internationally.

"The hotel enjoys a great location and will not only offer guests every comfort, but excellent value for money as well and will mirror the group's philosophy of providing five-star service for four-star pricing," he said.

Spread over four floors, the hotel has 94 rooms and suites, all equipped with interactive flat screen television, Internet, marble bathrooms with separate bathtub and shower and 24-hour room service.

It also features three restaurants, meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 50 guests and a boardroom.

Gulf Hotels Group's current portfolio consists of its flagship, the Gulf Hotel Bahrain, the Gulf Convention Centre, the Gulf Executive Residence, Gulf Executive Offices, Gulf Brands International, a 100-chalet Ocean Paradise Resort in Zanzibar, Africa, the K Hotel Bahrain and the soon to open Gulf Residence Amwaj. - TradeArabia News Service
