Yas Waterworld...paying homage to local heritage

Yas Waterworld to celebrate Emirati culture at ATM

ABU DHABI, April 28, 2015

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, a popular water-theme park in the UAE emirate, is preparing to create an authentic Emirati heritage experience for those visiting Arabian Travel Market (ATM), from May 4 to 7 in Dubai, UAE.

ATM is the leading travel and tourism event in the region. It has become a true global marketplace for companies across the industry, and this year its focus is ‘Family Travel’.

Set to delight ATM guests with traditional Emirati ‘Ayala’ performances, Emirati hospitality and a live bird of prey – Shaheen the falcon, attendees will dive straight into the waterpark’s iconic Emirati theme.

Welcoming guests with fresh dates and coffee in true Emirati fashion, the UAE’s first mega waterpark will immerse ATM visitors into its ‘Legend of the Lost Pearl’ – a unique tale that celebrates Emirati culture and pays homage to the country’s pearl diving heritage.

Located at the Yas Island stand UAE2110, Yas Waterworld will engage guests with an interactive pearl diving game where challengers can immerse themselves in the augmented reality of the Arabian Gulf and experience the joy of seeking pearls on an interactive tablet application.

Speaking ahead of the event, Tim Mow, general manager at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, said: “ATM is a fantastic platform to showcase what Yas Waterworld has to offer in terms of its heritage experience and its many award-winning rides, and how our theme and attractions come together to create the perfect family leisure destination. We look forward to interacting with trade visitors and tourists alike at the exhibition to create a culturally-inspired journey for all our guests.” – TradeArabia News Service
