Etihad’s stand ...... at the 'Think Science' event

Etihad Airways showcases career opportunities

DUBAI, May 7, 2015

UAE's national airline Etihad Airways recently promoted career opportunities for Emiratis in the fields of engineering and flight operations at the ‘Think Science Fair 2015’, which was held in Dubai, UAE.

The three-day event which was held at the Zabeel Hall of Dubai World Trade Centre, will conclude today (May 7).

Etihad’s stand at the event offered visitors the opportunity to experience participating in a flight simulator, said a statement from the airlines.

Also displayed at the stand was an engine model and an engineer’s toolkit with Etihad Airways engineers on-hand to teach students about the workings of an engine, it added.

Think Science, an Emirates Foundation programme, aims to inspire, encourage, and empower UAE nationals between the ages of 15 and 24 years old to study and embark upon a career in science.

Captain Salah Awadh Alfarajalla, Etihad Airways’ vice president aviation security and national pilot development, said: “A career with Etihad Airways is one of the most sought after in the UAE and we are delighted to exhibit engineering and pilot opportunities to young men and women.

“Science plays a key role in the aviation industry and this event is therefore an ideal opportunity to showcase what a career in Etihad Airways Engineering or Flight Operations can offer to those who excel in this important field,” he said.

“Every year thousands of UAE nationals choose a career with Etihad Airways. Very often the decision is made after talking to members of our team at events like Think Science, and we look forward to attracting new talent again this year,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
