Swiss-Belhotel to manage new five-star hotel in Bahrain

MANAMA, May 14, 2015

Leading global hospitality management chain Swiss-Belhotel International’s expansion continues to gather speed in the Middle East with the signing of an agreement to manage a five-star hotel in Bahrain.

Owned by Sheikh Salman bin Abdallah Hamad Al Khalifa, the five-star Swiss-Belhotel Bahrain is highlighted by its resort feel, located between the beach and Bahrain city centre. The property will open in 2016.

“This is our second hotel in Bahrain following Swiss-Belhotel Seef, and our 12th property in the Middle East,” said Gavin M Faull, Swiss-Belhotel International chairman and president.

“The market in the Middle East is dynamic and has been very receptive to our blend of professionalism and passion and we look forward to continuing our growth in the region.”

Noel Massoud, Swiss-Belhotel International vice president, operations and development, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdullah were also present at the signing.

Swiss-Belhotel Bahrain‘s design combines modern and local aesthetics, featuring contemporary interiors and the latest technology. The 193-room property’s facilities include two banquet and conference rooms, two restaurants, a coffee shop, a bar, two nightclubs, a business centre, a swimming pool and health club.

The management agreement for the hotel follows two recent additions to the group’s Middle East portfolio – Swiss-Belhotel Corniche and Swiss-Belresort Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi.

Since its establishment in 1987 Swiss-Belhotel International has also expanded throughout Asia and Australasia, with Europe the new target following the recent establishment of a European office. It has targeted managing 250 hotels and resorts by 2022. - TradeArabia News Service
