Defrance (L) and Misto (R) sign the agreement

RJ extends Air France-KLM component support deal

PARIS, June 17, 2015

Royal Jordanian (RJ), the national carrier of Jordan, has decided to renew the component support contract it had signed in 2011 with Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M).

AFI KLM E&M is a major multi-product MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) provider covering component support for Airbus A330s.

The agreement also includes repairs and access to the spares pool on a flight hour basis.

Royal Jordanian president and CEO Captain Haitham Misto signed the contract with senior vice president Commercial AFI KLM E&M Fabrice Defrance at the Paris Air Show 2015 currently held in the French capital.

The new contract is set to run until the scheduled retirement of the aircraft from the Royal Jordanian fleet. In the meantime, Royal Jordanian will not only benefit from AFI KLM E&M expertise on the A330 product, but also from its experience of phase outs and major compliance issues in connection with components of aircraft retired from a commercial fleet.

Fabrice Defrance said: “Royal Jordanian is one of our longest-standing clients and it was very important for us to again demonstrate to them our ability to combine a product offering the highest possible quality with an ultra-competitive offer tailored to its operational requirements.”

With a workforce of over 14,000, AFI KLM E&M offers comprehensive technical support for airlines, ranging from engineering and line maintenance to engine overhaul, aero structure and FTR support, as well as the management, repair and supply of aircraft components, structured around a powerful logistics network. – TradeArabia News Service
