Emirates to fly over 62,000 passengers on June 26

DUBAI, June 23, 2015

Emirates is expecting higher than normal passenger traffic on its flights this weekend, with over 62,000 travellers scheduled to fly out of Dubai, UAE, on June 26.

As travellers plan to head home or abroad for the summer holiday season, high passenger loads are also expected from June 25 to 28.

The airline has advised passengers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before flight departure, with check in allowed as early as six hours before departure to ensure the minimisation of delays and missed connections.

Emirates has also introduced special areas for families- comprising 10 check in counters - in Terminal 3 to cater to their needs.

Passengers have also been urged to check-in online, use the convenient Self Service Kiosks or baggage drop facilities to expedite their airport experience.

The airline warned that those who check in less than 60 minutes prior to their scheduled flight departure will not be accepted for travel.

The airline has also advised passengers travelling to the US, Canada and the UK to keep their electronic devices fully charged prior to travelling as they will be required to to switch on these devices on at the relevant boarding gates where screenings will take place.

Passengers can expect to experience long queues during busy travek periods due to heightened security measures. – TradeArabia News Service
