DoubleTree by Hilton Aqaba..celebrating Ramadan

DoubleTree by Hilton Aqaba opens ‘Ramadan Souk’

AQABA, July 6, 2015

DoubleTree by Hilton Aqaba, a leading hotel in the Jordanian city, is celebrating the holy month of Ramadan with the launch of its Ramadan Souk.

In collaboration with Souk by the Sea, a vibrant street market for products in Aqaba, the souk aims to develop and diversify the local community’s income sources and to attract tourists and locals to encourage them to buy original handicrafts and local products.

The Ramadan Souk in the hotel’s Palm Court, which will feature 13 booths displaying hand-made Ramadan goods by women and local artisans, will continue throughout the holy month.

The souk was recently visited by a group of local media representatives who enjoyed a delectable Iftar the hotel organised alongside the Souk. The event highlighted prominent activities that DoubleTree by Hilton Aqaba launched in support of the community, such as the food programme in collaboration with the Jordanian Food Bank and its continuous programmes with the local community of Aqaba.

Stephane Vilar, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Aqaba, said: “We strive to address the needs of the local community with year-round initiatives and activities that we launch in line with our business strategy.”

“The Souk falls within the hotel’s culture of Care, striving to ‘Create A Rewarding Experience’ to our guests, team members and members of the community we operate in,” he added.

Situated on the southern tip of Jordan, DoubleTree by Hilton Aqaba overlooks the Red Sea’s Gulf of Aqaba. The full-service hotel is centrally located in the heart of the business district in Aqaba, only a few steps from the city’s bustling shopping centre and a brief drive from Aqaba’s glistening beaches. The hotel provides access to free wi-fi in its 173 spacious and contemporary guest rooms, fulfilling the needs of every visitor – from business travellers to families looking for leisure time. - TradeArabia News Service
