Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort starts Phase 2 revamp

DUBAI, August 6, 2015

Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort + Spa, a luxurious retreat in Dubai, UAE, has officially commenced phase two of its renovation plans.

Scheduled for completion towards the end of the year, the second phase of renovations will focus on the complete refurbishment of the entrance, lobby, and reception area, as well as the introduction of a new all-day-dining concept and signature brand experiences such as Le Meridien Hub.

This phase follows on from the success of Phase one which included a re-development and re-design programme for more than 100 rooms in Tower One of the hotel, as well as the introduction of two new international branded food and beverage (F&B) concepts, Geales Urban Seafood and Lounge and Zengo Pan-Asian Restaurant, Lounge and Terrace.

Phase one also saw the resort’s 18 acres of lush landscaped gardens revamped to offer guests the perfect place to recline under the palm trees, including the brand new, Le Deck. Sun-loungers and garden furniture have also been upgraded to take the comfort experience to the next level. The long stretch of golden beach has been renovated to include a secluded private beach relaxation area, just for the guests, one of the first hotels in Dubai to offer this facility.

Phase two of the three phases will commence with a focus on the main building to reflect the contemporary style of Le Meridien brand and it will also see the introduction of Le Meridien Hub, which reinterprets the traditional hotel lobby and provides creative people with a place to gather, converse and exchange ideas. Le Meridien Lattitude Bar concept will replace the existing Piano Bar, offering illy coffee and other refreshments. The Lattitude bar will boast an open plan, fresh and quirky design with striking features that welcome guests the moment they enter. Simple, natural materials such as paper, wood and leather can be found throughout this light and airy space.

As guests arrive, they will discover a modern, fresh and contemporary look and feel that transforms the hotel and gives a refined, meaningful and stimulating atmosphere. The new open plan design has been created to give the ultimate guest experience where visitors can move around the property at ease.

The popular all-day-dining restaurant Brasserie will be replaced by an ultra-modern chilled out space, providing fresh and healthy dining options throughout the day, using seasonal produce fresh from the market. The grey and green hues, raw fabric and earthy textures have been carefully selected to bring the outdoors in, echoing the philosophy of cool, modern and contemporary, reinforcing Le Meridien signature brand experience.

Pam Wilby, complex general manager for Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort + Spa and Grosvenor House Dubai, said; “We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our visitors as a result of Phase one and have already significantly enriched the experience of our loyal guests while attracting a dynamic mix of new visitors to the hotel. Phase two will help to further enhance our offering, creating a whole new guest experience in line with the modern and contemporary Le Meridien brand philosophy.

Phase three of the re-development is scheduled to start in 2016 and will see the complete redesign of all deluxe rooms and suites in the main building. – TradeArabia News Service
