Boeing announces leadership changes for Mideast, Turkey

DUBAI, September 16, 2015

Leading aerospace company Boeing has announced several personnel changes in the Middle East and Turkey offices as part of its broader strategy in the region to strengthen market coverage and customer partnerships.

Omar Arekat, Boeing Commercial Airplanes sales director, has taken on the additional role of managing director for Qatar. In this expanded position, Arekat will help strengthen customer relationships and advance the Boeing profile in market.   

Kuljit Ghata-Aura, regional legal counsel for Boeing operations in India, Middle East and Africa, has taken on the additional role of director, market development, UAE. Ghata-Aura will be responsible for planning and implementing key company initiatives in conjunction with the company strategy.

Ayşem Sargın Işıl was named managing director of Boeing Turkey. She will lead the Boeing strategy and coordinate all company work in the country. Işıl will be based in the Boeing Turkey headquarters in Ankara.

In these capacities, all three Boeing executives will report to Bernie Dunn, president of Boeing Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. – TradeArabia News Service
