Oryx Rotana, a five-star luxury business hotel in Doha, Qatar, bagged two medals from the recently concluded Salon Culinaire competition held during Hospitality Qatar 2015.

The accolade which honours culinary skills, creativity and techniques, fosters competition and highlights the best of the best within the culinary industry in Qatar.

Oryx Rotana Doha’s very own Patrik Havlicek, specialty chef from Choices, won the silver medal in Signature Dish competition, while Raed Silme, Oriental specialty chef, won the bronze medal in the Arabic Mezza competition.

On this occasion Lana Jwainat, cluster director of marketing and communications at City Centre Rotana Doha & Oryx Rotana Doha said: “We were well represented in the competition and have been successful in securing recognition for our culinary creations. Although the live culinary event posed a challenge for our chefs, we are delighted to receive two medals this year under the Signature Dish and Arabic Mezza category. This reflects the professionalism of our chefs at Oryx Rotana, and we are sure of earning more medals at the next year’s tournament.”
