Dukes Dubai...part of Seven Tides’ growth strategy for the brand.

Seven Tides to unveil new hotel at WTM

DUBAI, November 1, 2015

Seven Tides International, a Dubai-based luxury hospitality developer and holding company, will exhibit at the World Travel Market in London for the first time this year as it prepares to unveil its latest five-star hotel, which will open early 2016.

Located on the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai’s prestigious island community, the 500-key British-styled hotel will join sister property and flagship hotel, Dukes London as part of Seven Tides’ growth strategy for the brand.

“The decision to bring the Dukes brand to Dubai was a logical next step with our flagship London hotel already a hugely popular destination for outbound GCC travellers; so in bringing quintessential British charm and style to the UAE and blending it with cosmopolitan luxury, we will create a unique residence and hotel situated in the heart of Dubai’s most desirable island community, Palm Jumeirah,” said Abdulla bin Sulayem, CEO, Seven Tides International.

“Dubai’s long-established reputation as a world-class hospitality hub and its enduring appeal as a preferred lifestyle and vacation destination for a well-travelled and appreciative international audience, make it a natural fit with Dukes brand philosophy. The second Dukes property will add a new and distinctly unique flavour of traditional British hospitality to the emirate’s current five-star mix,” said Debrah Dhugga, managing director, Dukes.

According to statistics released by Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), the emirate welcomed 845,000 UK hotel guests to its shores in 2014, an increase of 11 per cent compared to 2013. DTCM is also forecasting further growth for 2016 with in excess of 1 million Brits expected to visit.

This is supported by growth figures from Dubai International Airport, which recorded a 16.7 per cent year-on-year rise in passenger traffic in June, increasing to 5.91 million for the period up from 5.07 million the previous year.

“With British expats a strong presence in Dubai for decades, we believe that the Dukes brand will resonate strongly among the local community. NatWest’s latest International Personal Banking Quality of Life Report shows that Dubai is now number three in the table of nations offering the best quality of life for British expats, behind Australia and Canada. Adding a taste of home is something tangible which we know will enhance that quality of life experience,” said Dhugga.

The award winning services and attention to detail the Dukes brand has become synonymous with, will be prevalent throughout Dukes Dubai and incorporated into every aspect of the guest visit.

Centrally located on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, this waterfront resort will offer world-class leisure and entertainment facilities including a stunning private beach, indoor pool, and outdoor infinity pool plus state-of-the-art gym, along with a number of restaurants.

Guests can choose from Great British Restaurant (GBR) serving modern British cuisine, a traditional fish and chips café located on the promenade overlooking the Dubai Marina, a top floor Asian restaurant with stunning views over the palm, Dukes Bar for signature cocktails, the Champagne Lounge for a traditional afternoon tea or light dining experience, and the al fresco Cigar and Coffee Lounge.

Meeting requirements are serviced with the choice of an executive lounge, private business suites and conference rooms, all of which have been specifically created to offer tailor-made spaces for gatherings or celebrations, from intimate cocktail receptions to impressive corporate events.

Established in 2004, Seven Tides International has developed its own portfolio of commercial, residential and resort properties in some of the world’s most desirable locations. Its award-winning flagship hotel, Dukes London, is situated in the fashionable Mayfair district and has been a hospitality icon in the capital for well over a century. – TradeArabia News Service
