The Ascott opens Somerset Panorama Muscat

MUSCAT, March 7, 2016

The Ascott, a leading serviced residence owner-operator, has opened its first Somerset-branded property in Oman as it continues to roll out its award-winning brand across the Middle East.

Opened in Muscat’s bustling Bawshar district, Somerset Panorama Muscat forms part of an integrated development with the Panorama Mall, located directly below, said a statement.

The 277-unit property is located mid-way between the city’s central business district and Muscat International Airport and is close to the diplomatic area and Ghala industrial estate.

Ideal for travellers who are on business or on holiday with family, Somerset Panorama Muscat is a perfect option for short-term or long-stay visitors who want the flexibility of being able to explore the Omani capital from the comfort of an ultra-modern, serviced apartment.

Vincent Miccolis, area general manager in the GCC, Ascott, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our first guests to Somerset Panorama Muscat. As Ascott’s first serviced residences in Oman, visitors will now be able to enjoy the same level of personalised service for which Ascott is renowned in almost 100 cities across 27 countries.

"Oman is a dynamic destination and we’re excited to offer our guests everything they need at their fingertips for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in the capital.”

Residents can select from studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, each of which has been tastefully designed to exude a ‘home away from home’ feeling of warmth and hospitality.

All units have been configured with a fully-equipped kitchen including cooker, kettle, fridge and all crockery and cutlery as well as separate living, dining and work areas.

The property also features a 24-hour reception, daily housekeeping service, WiFi, outdoor lounge terrace and separate men’s and ladies’ gyms, along with a flexible menu of services such as breakfast, laundry and business centre services.

“Muscat is a city brimming with cultural attractions along with being a vibrant commercial hub, making it one of the region’s key destinations for leisure and business travellers alike,” said Miccolis.

“As part of an integrated development with retail and leisure amenities, Somerset Panorama Muscat offers visitors the privacy of deluxe, apartment-style accommodation while enjoying hotel-style facilities and amenities,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
