SAUDI ARABIA, May 19, 2016

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia has announced that 200 of the company’s employees has successfully graduated from the group's bespoke Professional Hotelier Programme.

Launched in May 2015, the programme gives Mövenpick employees the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the hospitality industry and allows them to acquire expertise in the rapidly growing Saudi Arabian tourism sector.

The Saudi Arabia Professional Hotelier Programme comprises eight modules, each of which has to be completed to graduate from the course. Modules cover topics like professional hotelier, world-class service, writing action plans, importance of time, team work and cultural diversity.

Andreas Mattmüller, chief operating officer of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Middle East and South Asia, said: “The Saudi Arabia Professional Hotelier Programme was developed by Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts with the aim of elevating the opportunities for Saudi nationals within their country’s expanding hospitality industry. Through this programme they become professional hoteliers who can continue growing in their careers. We are enormously proud that in our first year we are already celebrating the graduation of 200 participants.”

“The programme incorporates Mövenpick’s brand values – which include quality, reliability and care with a personal touch – into the core learning modules, to ensure that our employees can comfortably settle into our Mövenpick culture.”
