Dubai’s Burj Al Arab takes home two top awards

DUBAI, May 30, 2016

Dubai's Burj Al Arab was presented the Best Hotel in the World and Best Hotel in the Middle East awards at the Telegraph's Ultratravel Awards, held at The Savoy in London.

The award was presented by singer Ronan Keating to Robert Swade, group COO of Jumeirah, which manages the Burj Al Arab. They were joined on stage by Sky News presenter Sarah-Jane Mee.

This is the fourth year Burj Al Arab has been awarded the ‘Best Hotel in the World’ title, and the 10th year for the property to win the ‘Best Hotel in the Middle East’.

Anthony McHale, general manager of Burj Al Arab, said: “Winning the Best Hotel in the Middle East, as well as the Best Hotel in the World is an amazing recognition for Burj Al Arab. We are very honoured and I would like to thank the readers of Ultratravel UK magazine for their vote of confidence, our guests for their continuous support and our many colleagues who deliver the service we’re famous for every day.” - TradeArabia News Service
