Al Bustan Centre holds workplace safety training

DUBAI, July 21, 2016

Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel-apartment in the heart of Dubai, recently organized a training aimed at increasing awareness on the importance of health and safety at the workplace.

As part of the hotel’s Responsibility Awareness Programme (RAP), the training was conducted in the departments of Engineering, Food Production and Security to help improve work environment and ensure the employees have a complete understanding of workplace safety procedures.

Moussa El Hayek, chief operating officer of Al Bustan Centre & Residence, said: “The safety of our guests and our staff remains one of our highest priorities and we are focused on ensuring their well-being by minimising any untoward incidents. In line with this, we conduct annual training for the main departments that are directly involved in health and safety so they are well-informed of the latest developments, innovations and concepts related to work safety. This is also part of our continuing efforts to promote employees’ efficiency and work performance to better implement services.”

Each department attended the training of two to three sessions of lectures and workshops where the team members were presented a range of topics including general safety guidelines, fire prevention, controlling fire, first aid, health inspection tools, housekeeping practices, cleanliness and many more.
