BIA launches summer youth programme

MANAMA, July 31, 2016

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has launched its Youth Summer Programme at the airport.

The BIA Youth Summer Program (BIA-YSP) 2016, which runs from today (July 31) until August 25, aims to nurture the aspirations of youth in the aviation industry, especially those who have relatives that are already entrenched in the industry and to provide a platform for educational and professional development in the aviation industry.

he program also aims to build youth leadership skills through meaningful engagement in a real work environment develop a sense of responsibility and self-confidence as well as networking opportunities. In addition to presentations and site visits aiming to develop interest and clear understanding of the industry in a fun and interactive environment.  

Applicable applicants will be direct relatives of BAC employees and BAC/BIA Stakeholders that are motivated high school students who are able to commit to a one month programme and within the age group of 16 to 18 years old.

The summer programme is being organised in coordination with BCAA, BAS, Gulf Air ,DHL ,Texel Air, BAFCO, Bahrain Duty Free and Airport Police. - TradeArabia News Service
