Brauzzi (centre) inaugurates the new centre

Jordan's Italy visa application centre moves to new location

AMMAN, August 2, 2016

Residents of Jordan can now apply for Italy visas and enroll for biometrics at the new visa application centre that has opened in the capital city of Amman.

The new centre has been set up in the high-end Al Barakeh Mall on Said Al Mufti Street 30, P2 Floor, Amman, which is in close proximity to the main business district. Services at the centre commenced yesterday (August 1).

With Italy being a world-renowned travel destination and a popular holidaying choice with Jordanians, as well as one of the most important trade partners of Jordan, the added conveniences of the relocated centre will make applying for their visas even more straightforward and easy. The ample mall parking space and enhanced accessibility allows for a more hassle-free experience.

Speaking at the launch, the Italian Ambassador Giovanni Brauzzi said: “My staff and I are personally committed to ensure the most efficient handling of visa applications. With around 6,000 applications per year, we are conscious of their positive impact on the development of trade and investments between Jordan and Italy and more generally on the development of people-to-people friendly relations. Now, with this new center, we have an important step towards a further improvement of our visa services and I am confident that our efforts will increase the efficiency and the satisfaction of the Jordanian travelers and of the business community.”

Also present at the launch, Srinarayan Sankaran, COO – Middle East, VFS Global, added: “Our relationship with the Government of Italy for nearly 12 years is reflective of the trust and confidence they have in the services we have had the privilege to provide over the years. We are pleased to launch this newly relocated centre for greater convenience and ease to the residents of Jordan and will continue to deliver streamlined and world-class visa application services to our applicants."

The key features of the centre include:

  • Convenient and centrally-accessed location;
  • Professional staff with local language capability to handle queries and applications;
