Franco takes on a new role at Jumeirah Carlton Tower

New restaurant manager for Jumeirah Carlton Tower

LONDON, September 27, 2016

Jumeirah Group, a global luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has appointed Francesco (Franco) Becci as restaurant manager of The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London’s Knightsbridge.

Franco joins the Jumeirah Carlton Tower team with a wealth of food and beverage experience gathered during his 40-year career in the industry. His most recent role was restaurant manager of French fine dining restaurant Roux at the Landau, a position he held for nine years.

Having studied hotel management in his native Italy, Franco began his hospitality career at the four-star Caravelle Hotel in Venice before moving to London in 1982.  Since then he has enjoyed a number of senior restaurant roles at some of London’s most prestigious hotels including The Savoy, Browns Hotel and, most recently, The Langham.

Reporting to director of food and beverage Charl Leicester, Franco will oversee all aspects of The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant operations. Once described by Tatler magazine as running his restaurants with “uncommon warmth and humour”, he brings his well-known charm and attention to detail to the role.

Awarded three AA Rosettes for culinary and service excellence, The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant is renowned as a bastion of British cuisine, serving its legendary roast rib of beef alongside contemporary, classic and seasonal dishes; imaginative cocktails and premium gins; and a choice of over 450 wines. - TradeArabia News Service
