The new Yalumba

Le Meridien Dubai to unveil signature restaurant’s new look

DUBAI, October 6, 2016

Yalumba first opened its doors more than 10 years ago at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre to a growing fanfare of diners.

Home to the most loved Friday brunches in Dubai, Yalumba earned its position as the first choice for top quality produce and good times with stellar concepts including the award-winning Champagne Brunch, Thursday Cocktail Night and the original Tuesday night seafood promotion with fresh seafood from around the globe. The business grew from strength to strength and a decade later, investment had been made in the restaurant to offer a new look and feel while retaining the very soul of Yalumba.

On October 12, 2016, Yalumba is poised to unveil a completely new design, inspired by its namesake - Yalumba, from the Barossa Valley in South Australia. Picking up the DNA of an Australian Winery and Cooperage, the new Yalumba will feature a rustic, Australian Country feel conjuring up the ambience of the various wine making regions of Australia. Inspired by the warmth, texture and architectural details of traditional wineries and cheese caves, the transformative look boasts an eclectic blend of raw and refined elements creating a truly authentic outlet. Traditional elements of timber parquet flooring and glazed bricks set against contemporary concrete finishes create a backdrop for the vintage inspired furniture and lighting elements.

Open and interactive live cooking stations add an energy and vibrancy further enhancing the dynamic space, and making Yalumba the ideal venue for lunch meetings or fun weekend brunches with friends.

Along with its extensive transformation, Yalumba welcomes a new hand in its kitchen. Following his six-year stint at The Westin & Le Meridien Mina Sehayi, German-born Chef Dominic Petzold comes on-board as executive sous chef. With a formidable reputation in the industry and a special expertise on executing extra-ordinary brunches, Chef Petzold is a perfect fit in the Yalumba Kitchen. He has exciting times planned for diners, including the much-anticipated new theme night as follows:
Saturday (Family Brunch), Sunday (Roast Night), Monday (Mediterranean Night), Tuesday (Seafood Night), Wednesday (Noche Latina), Thursday (Bubbles & Vibes Evening Brunch), and Friday (Brunch & Garden Party).

Yalumba reopens for lunch and dinner service on Wednesday October 12th, 2016 unveiling the newly styled dining room and freshly curated menu. - TradeArabia News Service
