Prashanth Gurumurthiah has been appointed as the new cluster director of sales and marketing at the Park Inn by Radisson Muscat and Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Residence Duqm in Oman.

In his new role, Gurumurthiah will be responsible for leading and further improving all aspects of the sales and marketing communications department.

Guru, an Indian national, started his career as a system analyst and consultant and worked his way up in the hospitality industry in various professional positions in Switzerland, UK, UAE and India. He had joined Rezidor in May 2007 and has held key management positions in Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai, Deira Creek, UAE. In 2010, he was later on promoted to regional sales manager and team member of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Global Sales Office in Dubai and promoted to director of sales: Meetings, Incentive, Conference & Exhibitions in 2014.

Guru holds a MBA in Hotel and Tourism Management from University Center “Cesar Ritz” in Switzerland and MBA in Finance from University of Wales in UK.
