The four-star hotel Park Inn by Radisson Muscat has once again received the most prestigious certificate of Safehotels.

In 2015, the hotel was the first certified property in Oman that received the Safehotel Premium Level certification. It has been recognised as audited and certified in accordance with The Global Hotel Security Standard of Safehotels Alliance AB and is audited on a yearly basis.

Safehotels Alliance AB is an international certification company and the originator of The Global Hotel Security Standard, established, maintained and developed by a network of Travel, Tourism and Hotel industry experts following years of research and development. The company was founded in Sweden in 2001 to independently verify, award, recognise and certify consistent safety and security systems in place at hotels and meeting venues.

The Global Hotel Security Standard is based on 200+ individually assessed standard elements. This in turn provides three levels of certification (Certificate, Premium, Executive), which are verified and renewed on an annual basis.  Certified hotels demonstrate to corporate travel managers, wholesale buyers and Mice planners that a hotel or hotel group has consistent, objective and in some cases best practice commitment to safety and security on a global as well as brand specific or local level.

Safehotels has evaluated the hotel’s existing self-assessment internal hotel security programme through monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the self-assessment hotel database and submittals.
