IMG Worlds announces new giant theme park in Dubai

DUBAI, December 6, 2016

IMG Worlds, the entertainment arm of UAE-based Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group, has revealed plans for its newest theme park 'IMG Worlds of Legends' in Dubai.

The Dubai-based owner and operator of the world’s largest indoor theme park IMG Worlds of Adventure, said, with nine unique zones spread across over an area of 2 million sq ft, the newest leisure developement will feature some of the most exciting and popular brands in the world, making it one of the biggest global licensing deals of its kind.

The star attractions will include characters from global brands such as Nickelodeon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Assassin’s Creed, Barbie doll, Saban’s Power Rangers, Pokémon, Mattel, Hot Wheels, Bob the Builder and Just Dance.

The park will also feature two of IMG Worlds’ proprietary brands: Legends of Arabia and Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure. IMG Worlds of Legends promises to deliver a one-of-a-kind theme park experience, including 104,000 sq ft of food and beverage (F&B) space and 102,000 sq ft of retail space.
 
IMG Worlds, encompassing IMG Worlds of Adventure and IMG Worlds of Legends, has created the ultimate leisure and entertainment destination in Dubai, spanning over 6 million sq ft and 13 global brands.

The new theme park, situated adjacent to IMG Worlds of Adventure, will feature futuristic interactive rollercoasters, state-of-the-art rides, breathtaking water-based attractions, and spectacular live entertainment.

With its temperature-controlled environment and retractable roof, guests will be offered the choice of enjoying the thrilling rides safely protected from the desert heat in summer or basking in the sun on the sky-high coasters in winter as IMG Worlds of Legends is open 365 days a year, offering the best of both worlds.

At the park, there are four unique worlds all under one roof, Cartoon Network and Marvel as well as the Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group’s original concept the Lost Valley-Dinosaur Adventure joined together by IMG Boulevard.

The park is fully indoors and comprises four zones including 25 original retail concept stores, 28 immersive F&B outlets, over 1,600 employees and 4,500 parking spaces.

"IMG Worlds of Legends has beloved characters, dynamic rides, interactive attractions, and incredible architectural engineering across nine distinct zones, spanning over 2 million sq ft," remarked Otto.
 
IMG Worlds of Legends, he stated, will connect to IMG Worlds of Adventure via a state-of-the-art sky bridge, which will double as a gateway to the park.

There will also be a pedestrian walkway, allowing easy transit between the two parks. Guests will be able to purchase tickets to each park separately or choose a multiple park pass for the ultimate day out for families and friends, he added.

Tickets for IMG Worlds of Adventure are currently available online with each adult ticket priced at Dh300 and children at Dh250 for an all-day adventure offering access to over 20 signature rides and attractions, including live shows and a 5D cinema experience, said the developer.
