Dukes Dubai, the Dukes London hotel's first international property, has signed a range of quintessential British brands to further substantiate its great British offering.

Set to open this month with 279 rooms and 227 hotel-managed apartments, Dukes Dubai has signed partnership agreements with Royal Warrant holder Floris; Liberty Fabrics, Paxton & Whitfield cheese, and hair and beauty salon Toni&Guy. In addition to the china by William Edwards and interiors by Andrew Martin.

Toni&Guy will operate its fourth franchise in the UAE at Dukes Dubai, offering cutting, colouring, styling and hair extensions in addition to a range of men’s grooming services and selected beauty treatments. Toni&Guy, now the largest hairdressing company in the world, was founded by the four Mascolo brothers in London’s Swinging 60s and has grown from a single salon in Clapham, London, to 475 salons in 48 countries.

In-room amenities are supplied by Floris, the oldest independent family perfumer in the world and Royal Warrant holder. Floris London has been providing stylish fragrances and candles since 1790 and Dukes Dubai brings this expertise to its bathroom amenities in all rooms through the Floris Cefiro Conditioner, Floris Cefiro Shampoo, Floris Cefiro Bath and Shower Gel and Floris Cefiro Body Moisturiser.

Dukes’ signature dining venue, the Great British Restaurant and Tea Lounge, sources its cheese from Paxton & Whitfield, which has held Royal Warrants since becoming official cheesemonger to HM Queen Victoria in 1850. Today, the firm holds Royal Warrants of appointment to Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales. Its range of cheeses includes Red Leicester, Shropshire Blue, Cashel Blue, Ticklemore & Ragstone Goats and Mrs. Kirkhams Lancashire.

Liberty Fabrics provides custom-made soft furnishings for the Duchess Floor – an entire storey of the hotel dedicated exclusively to female guests. Known for its graphic and floral prints, the company sells luxury goods including women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, cosmetics and fragrance, in addition to jewellery, accessories, homeware, furnishings, stationery and gifts.

Bespoke bone china specialist William Edwards, which also operates a prestige design and decorating facility, has designed several bespoke ranges for Dukes Dubai and Dukes London, offering the finest china in classic designs. The brand has been supplying its high quality bone china to many luxury hotels and is also well known for the arresting beauty of its ceramic silkscreen printing.

In the Cigar Lounge, Andrew Martin Interiors has brought the great British touch through classic and elegant furniture. The design firm worked with Dukes London for the re-design of the drawing rooms and is known for its fabrics, wallpaper, furniture and home accessories inspired by a unique mix of cultures, nostalgia and decades of history.

Completing the look, Lock & Co Hatters bespoke martini ‘Odd-job 1676’ hat – made to commemorate the store’s 350th anniversary – sits proudly in Dukes Bar. Founded in 1676 and one of the oldest family owned businesses still in existence, Lock & Co’s designs have graced the heads of some of the greatest figures in history including Admiral Lord Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar and Sir Winston Churchill, who adopted their Cambridge and Homburg hats as his trademarks. - TradeArabia News Service
