NEW DELHI, March 30, 2017

India will stop stamping and tagging of passengers' hand baggage at seven major airports effective April 1, said a report quoting the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

The airports include: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Cochin and Ahmedabad, said the Indian Express newspaper report.

“We have put in place the required security systems that will help us in ushering in this passenger-friendly move,” CISF director general O P Singh was quoted as saying in the report.
